The recall applies to specific batches of the TJ Morris Toy Story Water Bottle, which was sold in Home Bargains stores from May 2026. The issue was reported after concerns that part of the bottle could become detached during use, creating a possible choking hazard for young children.

Specific Batches Affected by the Product Recall

According to the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), the bottle presents a choking hazard because the spout can detach from the lid and create a small loose part. If this happens while the bottle is being used, the detached component may obstruct a child’s airway.

The affected product is a blue water bottle with a red lid, decorated with characters from the Toy Story films. The model number is 75164, with the barcode 10751640. Only bottles carrying the listed batch numbers are included in the recall.

The affected batch numbers are 11449732, 11449736, 11449737, 11449738, 11449742, 11449743 and 11449744. According to the OPSS product safety alert, the item does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Home Bargains has confirmed that customers should not continue using bottles from the affected batches. The retailer has asked shoppers to return the product to their nearest store, where a full refund will be provided.

The OPSS advised consumers to stop using the product immediately and keep it out of reach of young children. Customers who are unsure whether their bottle is affected, or who no longer have the packaging, have also been told they can return the item to Home Bargains for a refund.

Recall Follows Safety Concern Reported by Trading Standards

The recall was published on 3 August 2026 following notification from Local Authority Trading Standards. According to the OPSS, the corrective action taken was the removal of the affected products from end users through a recall issued by Home Bargains.

The retailer explained that the action was taken after the identification of a possible choking hazard linked to the spout detaching from the lid. Home Bargains has apologised for any inconvenience caused and provided guidance for customers seeking further information.

The bottles were sold during a period when interest in Toy Story products was linked to the release of Pixar’s Toy Story 5 movie, according to reports from UK media outlets. No other batches of the Toy Story water bottle have been included in the recall notice.

The OPSS alert lists the country of origin for the product as China and categorises the item as hobby and sports equipment, specifically drinking bottles. The case number for the recall is 2607-0240. Customers with affected bottles are advised to follow the retailer’s instructions and return the product rather than continue using it. The recall remains limited to the specified model and batch numbers identified in the official product safety notice.
