Virgin Media has launched a limited-time offer giving new customers a free 43-inch LG 4K smart TV or bill credit when signing up for selected broadband and TV bundles. The promotion is available until May 27 and applies to four of the company’s entertainment packages.
The deal comes as broadband and television providers continue competing for customers ahead of major sports events and streaming releases. Virgin Media’s latest campaign combines broadband, pay TV, and mobile services with incentives aimed at households considering switching from providers such as Sky, BT, or TalkTalk.
Virgin Media said customers who join eligible packages can choose between a free LG Ultra HD smart TV or a bill credit instead. According to reports, the offer launched on May 18 and is tied to 24-month contracts.
The bundles include TV channels, Netflix subscriptions, and broadband services ranging from 362Mbps to 1,130Mbps, depending on the package selected. Virgin Media has also linked the promotion to its One Touch Switch process, which allows the provider to manage the transfer from another broadband company on behalf of customers.
Four Virgin Media Bundles Qualify for the Free TV Deal
The promotion applies to four Virgin Media packages: Cinema, Sports, Sports + Cinema, and Max Volt. Prices begin at £44.99 or £46.99 per month depending on the publication cited, while the most expensive Max Volt package costs £76.99 per month.
According to Express.co.uk, the Cinema package includes 362Mbps broadband, Sky Cinema channels, Netflix, and more than 200 TV channels. The Sports bundle replaces movie channels with Sky Sports coverage, including Premier League football and Formula 1 broadcasts.
Customers choosing the Sports + Cinema package receive both channel lineups alongside faster broadband speeds of around 512Mbps or 516Mbps, depending on the source. The Max Volt bundle includes Virgin Media’s fastest broadband service at 1,130Mbps as well as an unlimited O2 SIM plan.
Virgin Media said customers who do not want the television can instead claim bill credit. The amount differs across reports. The current campaign includes either a free 43-inch LG 4K smart TV or bill credit for eligible customers. According to multiple reports, the available bill credit ranges from £125 to £150 depending on the package selected, while an earlier version of the promotion in 2024 offered up to £250 in bill credit.
Customers Face Annual Price Rises on 24-Month Contracts
All eligible Virgin Media bundles are tied to 24-month agreements and include annual price increases. According to Express.co.uk, monthly costs will rise in April 2027 and April 2028, while The Mirror stated prices would increase by £4 each April.
Virgin Media has also waived setup fees on some packages linked to similar past offers, according to reporting from The Sun. Customers who cancel services before installation or during the cancellation period may not qualify for the free TV or bill credit.
The company’s One Touch Switch system is intended to simplify transfers from rival broadband providers. According to customer reviews cited by The Mirror, some users praised the process and broadband speeds, though others reported registration issues during account setup.
Virgin Media’s latest promotion arrives as rival companies introduce competing television offers. Express.co.uk reported that Sky recently reduced monthly prices on its Glass television range ahead of the 2026 World Cup, while Amazon has introduced new Fire TV models in the UK market.
