Weather maps are showing a return of warmer conditions across the UK, with temperatures expected to reach 27C in parts of England next week.
The latest forecasts indicate that southern and eastern areas could experience the highest temperatures, with several counties predicted to rise above 25C during the afternoon.
Eastern England Set To See The Highest Temperatures
According to The Mirror, weather maps from NetWeather show a surge of warmer air arriving on Thursday, September 15, with the hottest areas reaching 27C.
Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire are forecast to record the highest temperatures, with all three areas expected to peak at 27C around 3pm.
Much of the south and southeast of England is also expected to experience mid-20s temperatures. Areas including Greater London, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire, and Surrey are among the locations forecast to exceed 25C.

Fifteen Areas Could Reach 25C Or Higher
The warmest conditions are expected across a broad section of England, with 15 areas listed as likely to reach at least 25C.
These include Kent, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Middlesex, Greater London, Surrey, Berkshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, and Hampshire.
Temperatures are also expected to remain mild elsewhere. The Midlands could stay around 24C through the day, while Lincolnshire may reach 25C. In Greater Manchester, forecasts suggest highs of around 22C to 23C.

Met Office Warns Of Changeable Conditions
The warmer spell comes as the Met Office forecasts a mix of settled and unsettled weather through the middle of September.
The forecast for September 12 to 21 also predicts rain and strong winds. It says:
“Remaining changeable, with occasional rain or showers arriving from the North Atlantic, most frequent across northern and western parts of the UK, where some strong winds will also be possible at times. However, there will also be some reasonable dry and more settled periods, especially across southern areas.”
The forecast continues: “Temperatures for the period as a whole will probably be close to average overall, but there is scope for some rather warm days at times, along with occasional relatively cool nights.”
Warm Days Expected Amid Mixed September Weather
The forecast suggests that while conditions will vary across the UK, some areas could still experience short periods of warmer weather.
The highest temperatures linked to the current forecast are expected in eastern and southeastern England, where weather maps show peaks of 27C on September 15.
