The promotion, called Doorbell Drops, focuses on quick access to food and hosting products for customers who need to order items at short notice. According to Express.co.uk, the deal follows Tesco’s full launch on Uber Eats last month after a trial period and adds another delivery option alongside the supermarket’s existing Whoosh service.

Tesco Customers Can Access a Range of Half-Price Products Through the Delivery Platform

The Doorbell Drops promotion includes a selection of cupboard staples, snacks and fresh food items, with discounts applied to several well-known brands and Tesco products. Customers need to visit the Doorbell Drops hub page for Tesco on the Uber Eats app to find the reduced-price items.

Among the offers, PG Tips Original Black Tea 80 Tea Bags 232g has been reduced from £4.35 to £2.18. McVitie’s Digestives Milk Chocolate Biscuits 266g are available for £1.50, compared with their previous price of £3, while Lindt Excellence Dark Chocolate Bar 70% Cocoa 100g has fallen from £4.65 to £2.33.

According to reports, the promotion also includes Tesco Finest All Butter Sultana Scones, Tesco Strawberry Jam, Tesco British Double Cream, Tesco Finest Victoria Sponge Cake, Président French Brie Cheese, Jacob’s Original Cream Crackers, Tesco Green Olives with Slow Roasted Tomatoes, Walkers Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli crisps and Tesco raspberries.

The full list of reduced products gives customers a choice of items often associated with casual gatherings and hosting occasions. The discounts apply only when shoppers place their orders through Uber Eats during the promotional period.

Tesco Expands Rapid Grocery Delivery Options Through Its Latest Partnership

The deal forms part of a wider partnership between Tesco and Uber Eats, giving customers another way to receive groceries quickly. Merve Basci, general manager at Uber Eats, said the partnership was designed to help people who may need to quickly prepare for unexpected visitors.

According to Express.co.uk, Basci said the service aims to reduce concerns about being unprepared when guests arrive, offering access to food and household items through the delivery platform.

Suzanne Quinn, customer director at Tesco, said the Doorbell Deals range was created for situations where plans change or guests arrive without much notice. She said the service gives customers access to fresh food, drinks and hosting products that can be ordered quickly.

The promotion also builds on Tesco’s Whoosh delivery service, which provides grocery deliveries from around 1,800 Tesco stores in as little as 20 minutes. The supermarket said the Uber Eats partnership provides another route for customers looking for fast access to selected products.

The Doorbell Drops half-price offers will remain available through the Tesco section of the Uber Eats app until 20 September. Customers can choose from the discounted range while stocks and availability last during the promotion period.
