Lindt & Sprüngli has opened a new chocolate shop at Manchester’s Trafford Centre, marking the Swiss chocolatier’s second retail location in the city. The launch also represents the company’s 30th shop in the UK.
The new outlet opened on 28 May and occupies 1,200 square feet within one of the country’s largest shopping destinations. According to reports, the Trafford Centre store follows the earlier opening of a Lindt shop at Manchester Arndale Centre.
The expansion adds to Lindt’s existing network of stores across the UK, with locations in cities including London, York, Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds and Swindon. The company said the new site will offer a range of in-store services and products available to Trafford Centre visitors.
New Trafford Centre Store Expands Lindt’s Presence in Manchester
The Trafford Centre shop is Lindt’s second location in Manchester and forms part of the company’s wider UK retail footprint. According to reports, the opening marks a milestone for the chocolatier as it reaches a total of 30 stores nationwide.
The store includes several features already familiar to customers of the brand’s dedicated retail locations. These include a pick-and-mix chocolate selection, personalised products, exclusive gifts and access to the MyLindt Rewards programme.
To mark the launch, visitors received samples of Lindor products, while the first 250 customers who spent at least £15 were given complimentary goodie bags. These opening-day giveaways were available when the store welcomed customers on 28 May.
Speaking about the opening, Lindt & Sprüngli retail D2C and ecommerce director Faythe King said the company was pleased to bring a Lindt chocolate shop to one of the UK’s major shopping destinations. She added that visitors would be able to explore in-store offerings including exclusive pick-and-mix flavours and personalised gifting options.

Product Range Includes Exclusive Flavours and Seasonal Launches
The Trafford Centre store offers a selection of chocolates that combines established products with flavours available through Lindt’s retail shops. According to the Daily Express, customers can choose from varieties including choco wafer, popcorn, cherry blossom, marc du Champagne, stracciatella and giandujotto through the pick-and-mix range.
The shop also stocks a selection of gifts that can be customised with gift tags and ribbons. These are prepared through Lindt’s gifting concierge service, providing shoppers with personalised options available in-store.
Alongside its core range, the retailer is also highlighting seasonal and limited-edition products. According to the Daily Express, these include the Lindt Tokyo Style Chocolate Matcha and Strawberry bar, which is exclusive to Lindt stores and made using ceremonial grade Chamei Minami matcha.
Another featured product is the Lindt Lindor Cherry Blossom truffle, described by the company as a Sakura-flavoured offering. These products form part of Lindt’s spring and summer range available through its retail locations.
The Trafford Centre opening therefore not only increases Lindt’s physical presence in Manchester but also provides customers with access to the company’s latest product launches, personalised gifting services and wider in-store chocolate selection as the retailer continues to expand its UK network.
