Consumers who received multiple unsolicited promotional texts from Teleflora could be eligible for a payment of up to $251 under a proposed $6 million class action settlement.
Two Teleflora Texts Could Qualify Consumers
The settlement concerns allegations that Teleflora sent promotional text messages to consumers whose phone numbers were listed on the National Do Not Call Registry.
People who received at least two marketing texts within a 12-month period may qualify, subject to the settlement’s other requirements. The messages must have promoted Teleflora products and been sent during the relevant period beginning May 9, 2021.
Phone Number Is Part Of The Eligibility Rules
A claimant’s 10-digit phone number is central to the eligibility requirements. The number generally must have been registered with the National Do Not Call Registry for at least 30 days before the relevant messages were sent.
Other restrictions also apply, including circumstances where a consumer provided their phone number directly to Teleflora.
Settlement Could Pay Up To $251
The proposed settlement is worth $6 million. Eligible claimants could receive up to $251, although the maximum amount is not guaranteed.
The final payment will depend on the number of valid claims submitted and the outcome of the settlement process. The court must also approve the agreement before payments can be distributed.
Claim Deadline Is November 17
People who believe they qualify have until November 17, 2026, to submit a claim. Claims can be filed through the official Teleflora settlement website using the online claim form.
Applicants should review the eligibility requirements and provide the requested information before submitting their claim.
What Consumers Need To Know
The settlement does not mean everyone who received a Teleflora text will automatically receive $251.
Claimants must satisfy the applicable conditions, including the requirements concerning the number of messages received, the registration of their phone number and the period when the messages were sent.
The actual payment could also be lower than the advertised maximum. Consumers who believe they received qualifying messages should check the official settlement terms and submit their claim before the November 17 deadline.
