A construction firm based in Surrey has entered liquidation after more than a decade in business, with its latest publicly available accounts showing debts of £97,526 due within one year. Bartek Builders Ltd, registered in April 2011, was appointed liquidators on 28 September 2026. The company provided building services across the Surrey area, including refurbishments, loft conversions, extensions, property maintenance and landscaping work.
Liquidation Process Begins Following Creditor Notices
The company’s insolvency process followed a series of notices published through The London Gazette. According to the official notice, Bartek Builders Ltd held a virtual meeting of creditors on 10 September 2026 to consider the nomination of a liquidator and other decisions connected with the liquidation.
The notice stated that a resolution to wind up the company was considered at a general meeting of members. Creditors were given the opportunity to submit claims and vote on decisions relating to the liquidation process.
Brendan P. Hogan of Cromwell & Co Insolvency Practitioners was appointed as liquidator. According to The London Gazette notice, Hogan is an authorised insolvency practitioner responsible for handling the company’s affairs during the liquidation. The company’s registered office was listed as 6 Hermitage Road, Woking, Surrey, with its principal trading address at 22 Wilders Close, St Johns, Woking.
The latest accounts available publicly showed that the company had amounts falling due within one year of £97,526 up to April 2025. The figures provide the most recent available indication of the company’s reported financial obligations before the liquidation process.

Building Firm Had Operated in Surrey for More Than a Decade
Before entering liquidation, Bartek Builders Ltd offered a range of residential construction services. The company stated that it had 20 years of experience working in Surrey, although its official registration dates back to 2011.
According to the company’s Facebook page, the business was run by a team of Polish builders with experience in both England and Poland. The company advertised work including new builds, extensions, patios, landscaping projects and other general building services. The firm had also received several five-star online reviews before the liquidation process began.
Bartek Builders Ltd is among a number of construction companies that have faced financial difficulties in 2026. According to the report, Torsion Construction Limited, a Leeds-based company founded in 2015 and focused on residential and living sector developments, was also placed into liquidation in July.
Documents relating to Torsion Construction Limited showed that the company employed 115 people. The cases form part of a wider pattern of insolvency notices involving businesses operating in the construction sector, although each company’s circumstances are assessed separately through the formal insolvency process.
For Bartek Builders Ltd, the liquidation marks the end of a business that had provided building and property services in Surrey for many years. The appointed liquidator will now manage the company’s remaining affairs and deal with creditor claims in accordance with insolvency procedures.
