A product sold through Amazon has been removed from the marketplace after a safety report identified a high risk of electric shock linked to the item. The affected product is a Lueden 2 Gang 2 Way Double Wall Light Switch, which was rejected at the UK border following an assessment by the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS).
The recall notice concerns an electrical product that was not supplied with instructions required for safe installation. According to the OPSS, the lack of installation guidance could create a risk if the switch was incorrectly wired, potentially exposing users to an electric shock or creating a risk of fire.
Safety Report Identifies Installation Risk With Lueden Switch
The product involved is described as a white moulded double wall light switch supplied in plastic packaging with blue colouring. The item carries the brand name Lueden and is listed as an electrical appliance and equipment product, specifically a wall plate electrical component. Its country of origin is recorded as China, according to the product safety report published by the OPSS on 20 July 2026.
The report states that the switch presents a high risk of electric shock because it was not supplied with an instruction manual for safe installation. The safety concern relates to incorrect wiring, where the switch could be connected to the neutral line instead of the live line.
According to the OPSS report, this situation could leave the threaded metal part of the bulb socket permanently energised. If a user then operates the light switch, they could be exposed to an electric shock. The report also states that an electrical fire could start, potentially leading to property damage.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005, according to the official notice. The corrective action recorded by the OPSS was the rejection of the import at the border.

Amazon Listing Removed After UK Product Safety Action
The product was sold through Amazon, where the listing has since been removed. The safety notice records that the online marketplace took action to prevent further purchases of the affected item.
The OPSS report includes the product identifier ASIN B0FPFRM9SB and describes the item as a White Moulded 10A AC100-250V switch. The alert was categorised as a product safety report with a risk level marked as “High”. According to the OPSS, the measure taken against the product was both the rejection of the import at the border and removal of the listing by the online marketplace. The alert was issued on 20 July 2026 under notification number 2606-0148.
The action follows other recent product safety reports involving items sold through Amazon. The OPSS previously reported concerns about the Chick C Toy, which presented a choking risk because small parts could detach during use. A separate report concerned the TOMY UK Boon PIVOT Toddler Tower, which was identified as presenting a risk of injury because it could become unstable and tip over during use.
For consumers who may have purchased affected products, safety authorities advise following the instructions provided in official product safety notices and contacting the relevant distributor where required.
