Parts of the UK could see temperatures reach 16C around November 16, with weather maps showing a spell of milder conditions across much of England. The forecast comes after a notably colder start to November, with temperatures falling below freezing in parts of the country.

Temperatures Could Reach 16C In Southern England

Weather maps from WXCharts indicate that temperatures could climb into the mid-teens around November 16. Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire are among the areas forecast to reach 16C.

Several other counties could see temperatures of 15C, including Norfolk, Essex, Suffolk, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. The projected temperatures are well above the typical November levels for some of these areas.

Milder Conditions Follow A Cold Start To November

The warmer spell would mark a clear change from conditions seen at the start of the month. Temperatures recently fell to -2.6C near Tulloch Bridge in the Scottish Highlands and -2C in Shap, Cumbria, according to the Met Office.

Parts of Scotland have also experienced very limited sunshine during the cold period. The outlook suggests temperatures will rise across much of England later in the month, with the Midlands expected to see highs between 11C and 13C.

Scotland is likely to remain colder than much of England.

Met Office Expects Changeable Conditions

The Met Office‘s outlook for November 16 to 30 points to a more unsettled second half of the month. The forecast states that spells of rain and periods of strong winds are possible, with northern and western areas currently more likely to see the wettest and windiest conditions.

There is also a possibility that wetter conditions could shift towards southern areas for a period. Towards the end of November, Atlantic weather systems could track further south, although confidence in the longer-range pattern remains low.

Temperatures Could Stay Above Average

The Met Office expects temperatures to be near or above average across much of the period. Colder spells remain possible, particularly towards the latter part of November.

This means the forecast does not point to a sustained period of warm weather across the whole country. Conditions could vary considerably between regions and from one day to another.

Areas Forecast To Reach More Than 12C

Several parts of England could see temperatures above 12C around November 16.
