Food Safety Alert Issued over Missing Allergen Information
According to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), ASR Solutions Ltd is recalling Lay’s Sour Cream & Dill Crisps because the product contains milk and wheat (gluten) that are not mentioned on the label. The affected crisps were sold through Home Bargains stores in the UK.
The FSA stated that the product may pose a risk to consumers with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, wheat, gluten, or those with coeliac disease. The regulator issued an allergy alert on 31 July 2026, explaining that incorrect or missing allergen information can require food products to be withdrawn or recalled. The recall applies only to 125g packs of the sour cream and dill flavour. According to the FSA notice, no other Lay’s varieties, pack sizes, or multipacks are included in the alert.
