Walmart has issued a recall for more than 16,000 EnHomee 9-Drawer Fabric Dressers sold across the United States due to safety risks linked to possible tip-overs. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warned that the furniture could create serious injury hazards, particularly for children.
EnHomee Dressers Recalled Over Stability Concerns
The recall affects approximately 16,809 EnHomee 9-Drawer Fabric Dressers that were sold nationwide through Walmart. According to the CPSC, the dressers do not meet mandatory safety standards because they can become unstable if they are not properly secured to a wall.
The agency warned that the products could tip over, creating entrapment and serious injury risks, including the possibility of death for children. Consumers who own the recalled dressers are advised to stop using them immediately and contact the company for further information.
Furniture Safety Remains a Concern for Families
Tip-over incidents involving unsecured furniture remain a major safety issue, particularly in homes with young children. Safety authorities recommend anchoring large furniture items such as dressers, cabinets and storage units to walls to reduce the risk of accidents.
The recall follows federal efforts to strengthen furniture safety requirements and reduce injuries caused by unstable products.
Walmart Also Sold Recalled Toddler Kitchen Towers
Another product sold through Walmart has also been recalled due to a separate safety concern. TOMY International recalled approximately 116,908 Boon PIVOT Collapsible Toddler Tower Kitchen Step Stools after reports that some units could become unstable during use.
The company received 11 reports of the towers leaning, shifting or becoming unstable. No injuries have been reported, but the defect creates a risk of falls and serious injuries. The toddler towers were sold through Walmart.com, as well as Target.com and Amazon.com, between January 2023 and June 2026 for around $150.
Consumers Offered Repair Solution for Toddler Towers
The recalled toddler towers are made of metal and plastic, stand about 35 inches tall, and were sold in gray and white versions. Consumers can identify affected products by the “boon” logo printed on the top rail and the warning label located on the side of the standing platform.
TOMY is providing a free stabilizing repair kit to address the issue. The company will send replacement parts and installation instructions to customers who contact the recall service.
