According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recalled bed rails could lead to entrapment, potentially resulting in asphyxiation and death. The recall includes products sold between August 2023 and December 2025, affecting those who bought the units online from Amazon or Vive Health’s official website.

The warning from the CPSC, issued on February 19, 2026, emphasizes that these products do not meet the required safety standards for portable bed rails. The risk is serious: users could become trapped between the rail and the mattress, which presents a deadly hazard. The Hazardous Risks Posed by Vive Health Bed Rails

The LVA3031BLK model has a black frame with a black handle and measures 13 inches wide by 18 inches tall. Consumers are urged to immediately stop using these bed rails and contact Vive Health for a full refund. If you own one of the affected models, marking the bed rails with a permanent marker and emailing a photo to the company will be necessary steps for processing the refund.
