Over the following four years, the venture is anticipated to invest up to $500 billion<\/strong> in the construction of specialized data centers, making it one of the biggest AI infrastructure initiatives ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Announced during Trump\u2019s second day in office<\/strong>, Stargate promises to generate over 100,000 jobs<\/strong> and secure the resources needed to advance AI capabilities in the United States. \u201cInfrastructure <\/strong>in the United States is super important, AI is a little bit different from other kinds of software in that it requires massive amounts<\/strong> of infrastructure, power, computer chips, data centers, and we need to build that here, and we need to be able to have the best AI infrastructure in the world to be able to lead with the technology and the capabilities,\u201d Altman stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stargate also addresses the energy-intensive demands of AI data centres.
