The measures include product recalls, market withdrawals and the removal of online listings, with consumers advised to stop using affected items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Children\u2019s Products and Cosmetics Face Recalls Over Burns, Choking and Suffocation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A Wednesday Addams costume sold through eBay has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/product-safety-alerts-reports-recalls\/product-safety-report-wednesday-addams-costume-sold-via-ebay-2609-0105\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recalled <\/a>after testing revealed that its black wig failed <strong>flammability requirements<\/strong>. The costume, comprising a dress, tights, belt and plaited wig, was listed under item number 307143487287.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the OPSS, the wig continued burning for 10 to 15 seconds after the flame was removed, exceeding the permitted maximum of two seconds under BS EN 71-2. TG Derby Ltd has recalled the costume, and eBay has removed the listing. The product was marketed as suitable for sleeping babies, despite concerns about soft bedding in infant sleep spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/product-safety-alerts-reports-recalls\/product-safety-report-moon-shaped-baby-sleep-pillow-2610-0055\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>OPSS <\/strong><\/a>states that pillows and soft toys should not be placed in sleeping areas for babies under one year old because of risks associated with overheating, airway obstruction and sudden infant death syndrome. Wish has removed the listing, and owners have been advised to stop using the pillow and contact the seller for a refund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two cosmetic products have also prompted action. Omani Brothers Umm Khammas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/product-safety-alerts-reports-recalls\/product-safety-report-omani-brothers-umm-khammas-henna-paste-2610-0033\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Henna Paste<\/a>, model Maroon, was withdrawn by Budget Pound Plus after phenol was identified. The prohibited cosmetic ingredient can cause skin burns, eye damage and toxicity if swallowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Ancient Wisdom bath <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/product-safety-alerts-reports-recalls\/product-recall-ancient-wisdom-bath-donut-2610-0144\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">donuts<\/a> were recalled because their food-like appearance could encourage children or vulnerable users to put detachable parts in their mouths, creating a choking hazard. Its pins also failed to meet the dimensional requirements of British Standard BS 1363.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the official safety report, the missing fuse could allow the plug to overheat or explode under fault conditions. eBay has removed the listing, and consumers have been instructed to stop using the appliance and seek a replacement or refund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A LEDSone UK Ltd AC-DC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/product-safety-alerts-reports-recalls\/product-safety-report-ledsone-uk-ltd-ac-dc-power-supply-adapter-2610-0165\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">power supply adaptor<\/a>, model CJ-1205, was also withdrawn. Its plug lacked an appropriate fuse link, had incorrectly sized pins and failed insulation requirements. Customers have been advised to stop using them immediately and return them to Decathlon for a refund.
