Barclays has said only some customers who meet the relevant conditions will receive an early settlement offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone who does not receive an offer this month should not assume they have been excluded from future compensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Offers Are Expected Before The End Of November<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Barclays Partner Finance is expected to contact eligible customers with offers before the end of <strong>November 2026<\/strong>. Customers who receive an offer will have <strong>one month<\/strong> to accept or reject it. The early payments are being made to some customers while wider legal and regulatory issues surrounding historical motor finance complaints continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Customers who do not receive an offer may still be considered for compensation through subsequent action. Barclays Partner Finance said the early settlements were intended to give some customers the option of receiving redress sooner rather than waiting for the outcome of ongoing legal challenges and any subsequent FCA action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Barclays Has Set Aside \u00a3325 Million<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Barclays Partner Finance left the motor finance market several years ago. The lender has previously set aside around <strong>\u00a3325 million<\/strong> to cover potential costs linked to historical motor finance mis-selling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current early settlement process relates to affected customers whose complaints meet the relevant conditions. Customers receiving an offer should check the calculation and the terms carefully before deciding whether to accept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lloyds Has Also Set Aside Money<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.econostrum.info\/uk\/car-finance-compensation-unexpected-turn\/\">Barclays <\/a>is not the only major lender facing potential costs linked to historical motor finance arrangements. <strong>Lloyds Banking Group<\/strong>, which continues to operate in the motor finance market through its <strong>Black Horse<\/strong> brand, has set aside around <strong>\u00a31.95 billion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lloyds has not yet started making compensation payments under the process described in the source material. For Barclays customers, the immediate development is the expected arrival of early settlement offers before the end of November.
