The recalls are aimed particularly at people with food allergies, intolerances or coeliac disease. According to the Food Standards Agency<\/strong>, customers who have affected products and are sensitive to the allergens involved should not eat them and should instead return them for a refund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pot Noodle Batch Recalled After Production Error<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Unilever has recalled one batch of Pot Noodle Piri-Piri Chicken Flavour<\/strong> 90g after a production error resulted in milk and other ingredients being present without being declared in the ingredients list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The affected products carry batch code L6232PB796 <\/strong>and have a best-before date of May 2027. Both details are printed on the top of the foil lid. Other batches of Pot Noodle Piri-Piri Chicken Flavour, along with other Pot Noodle products, are not included in the recall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Unilever<\/a>, the mistake occurred when Pot Noodle Original Curry seasoning mix was accidentally added during production instead of the intended Piri-Piri seasoning mix. The Original Curry seasoning contains cheese powder made from milk, meaning the affected Piri-Piri Chicken products contain milk <\/strong>even though it does not appear in the main ingredients list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milk is listed on the packaging under the precautionary \u201cmay contain\u201d statement, but the company said the undeclared ingredients could still pose a safety risk to people with an allergy or intolerance to milk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customers are being told not to consume the affected batch. They can contact Unilever\u2019s Consumer Careline for guidance and a refund by emailing ukicare@unilever.com<\/strong> or calling 0800 146 252<\/strong>. Unilever said proof of purchase is not required, although customers may be asked to provide a photograph showing the batch code and best-before date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
