The Wrexham branch closed after a court-approved restructuring plan allowed TG Jones<\/strong> to review locations across its estate. The store<\/a> offered discounts of up to 70%<\/strong> during a closing-down sale before shutting its doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to The Sun<\/a><\/em>, the retailer confirmed that the closure forms part of efforts to secure the long-term future of the wider TG Jones<\/strong> business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A TG Jones spokesperson told Wrexham.com<\/em>: \u201cAs we work to secure the long-term future of TG Jones, we have confirmed that our Wrexham store will close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Store Closure Leaves Post Office Service In Question<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The closure has also affected the Wrexham Post Office<\/strong>, which operated from the first floor of the TG Jones building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The branch stopped operating on Saturday, September 12, creating uncertainty for customers who used the city centre location for postal services and other transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Post Office spokesperson said: \u201cTG Jones had its Restructuring Plan approved by the High Court on 1 July, which includes seeking new commercial terms with landlords for the majority of their estate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cConsequently, TG Jones is to close their Wrexham store. Regrettably, Wrexham Post Office will close on Saturday 12 September.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Post Office said it is reviewing options for a replacement branch after receiving interest from potential retailers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A spokesperson added: \u201cWe know how important our products and services are to the local community. We have already received expressions of interest from some retailers and we are now looking more closely at the interest expressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe want to open a replacement branch as soon as possible. In the interim alternative branches include Rhosddu, Prince Charles Road and Queens Park.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
