This includes updating details connected to their entitlement. For most families, Child Benefit is paid <strong>every four weeks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The warning does not indicate a suspension or delay to payments. It relates only to the availability of the online platform during the <strong>maintenance window<\/strong>. A partner\u2019s National Insurance number may also be required if they have a partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HMRC states that Child Benefit claims can be backdated for <strong>up to three months<\/strong> from the date the claim is made. Parents without a birth or adoption certificate can still apply, though the process may take longer and HMRC may later request the document as evidence. The planned closure is a short interruption to the digital service rather than a change to the benefit itself.
