Le Manoir aux Quat\u2019Saisons<\/strong>, the two-Michelin-star<\/strong> restaurant in Oxfordshire, has temporarily closed as a major redevelopment project begins, with around 150 jobs reportedly affected by the shutdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Belmond-owned<\/strong> hotel and restaurant in Great Milton<\/strong> closed in January 2026 and is expected to reopen in summer 2027 after an 18-month transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Founded in 1984, Le Manoir aux Quat\u2019Saisons<\/strong> became one of the UK\u2019s most recognised fine dining destinations. The restaurant was created by celebrity chef Raymond Blanc<\/strong> and built a reputation as a training ground for leading culinary figures, including Marco Pierre White<\/strong> and Paul Liebrandt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Oxfordshire venue retained its two Michelin stars<\/strong> for 41 consecutive years, including recognition in the 2025 Michelin Guide<\/strong>. Its long-standing record has been interrupted during the temporary closure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to the Oxford Mail<\/a><\/strong>, staff were informed of the closure plans at a meeting in September 2025, when the company warned that redundancies could follow.
