The arrangement extends Tesco\u2019s loyalty scheme beyond conventional shopping while adding a new benefit for electric vehicle drivers already using the charging network. According to Tesco\u2019s announcement on 27 August, Be.EV operates more than 2,500 charging bays nationwide, including rapid chargers at a number of Tesco Express stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The points earned through charging work in the same way as other Clubcard points. They can be converted into vouchers <\/strong>for money off Tesco shopping or used with more than 100 Clubcard Reward Partners, with some partners offering triple value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tesco says more than 24 million UK households now include a Clubcard member. For those who also drive electric vehicles, the new link means charging sessions can contribute automatically to their existing points balance without requiring a separate rewards programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How the Tesco and Be.EV Partnership Works<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Drivers must first connect their Tesco Clubcard account with the Be.EV charging app<\/strong>. They can do this by signing into, or creating, a Be.EV member account, opening the Account section and selecting \u201cLink Tesco Clubcard Account\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the accounts are connected, points are collected automatically<\/strong> after eligible completed charging sessions. There is no need for drivers to repeat the linking process each time they use a charger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Tesco<\/a>, members receive one Clubcard point for every \u00a31 they spend at any Be.EV electric vehicle charger across the UK. Points, vouchers and rewards can then be monitored through the Clubcard section of the Tesco app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be.EV was established in Greater Manchester in 2019 and now operates more than 2,500 charging bays at over 680 sites. Tesco\u2019s statement places the company among the UK\u2019s top 10 largest networks by number of rapid and ultra-rapid charging bays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of those chargers are already located at Tesco Express sites. The supermarket <\/a>says these rapid chargers allow customers to recharge their vehicles while making a quick visit to the store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tesco Says the Scheme Adds Value to Routine Charging<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tesco Group Membership and Loyalty Director Shama Wilson<\/a> said the company was looking for new ways for Clubcard members to collect points. She said the partnership would allow members to earn rewards while charging at thousands of bays around the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith more and more Tesco shoppers opting for electric vehicles, we are sure that many of our customers will be excited by this latest addition to Clubcard<\/em>,\u201d Wilson said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be.EV chief executive Asif Ghafoor<\/a> described the partnership as a way of making electric driving more rewarding. According to reports, he said drivers were already charging during these journeys, but could now collect points to spend on their weekly shop or a day out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPairing reliable ultra-rapid charging with a reward people actually value is how you make EV ownership feel effortless<\/em>,\u201d Ghafoor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For existing Clubcard members using Be.EV, the change is largely handled through the two companies\u2019 apps.
