Simple has expanded a recall of its Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water<\/strong> in the UK and Republic of Ireland after testing identified the possible presence of bacteria in specific batches. Customers with affected 200ml, 400ml and 730ml bottles have been told to stop using them immediately because they may cause eye inflammation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recall now covers 16 batches <\/strong>across the three bottle sizes. The products have been withdrawn from the market, while consumers who have already bought affected bottles are being directed to contact Simple\u2019s consumer care service or their retailer for information on returns and refunds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Simple\u2019s official recall notice, the action applies only to specified batches of Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water. Other Simple products, and bottles of the same cleansing water carrying different batch codes, are not included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recall follows testing that detected the possible presence of bacteria <\/strong>in some units. Simple said the contamination has the potential to cause eye inflammation for some consumers, and advised anyone with health concerns to seek medical advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which Simple Micellar Water Batches Are Affected<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The affected 200ml bottles carry batch codes 610041, 611641 and 615941. For 400ml bottles, the recalled codes are 611141, 611341, 611441, 613341, 613441, 614541, 614741 and 614841.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five batch codes apply to the 730ml size: 613841, 613941, 611041, 616641 and 616741. The batch code is printed directly on the bottom of the bottle<\/strong>, according to Simple, allowing customers to check whether their product is covered by the recall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Office for Product Safety and Standards has also issued a recall notice<\/a>. According to the OPSS statement reported by the Mirror, affected batches may be microbiologically contaminated and therefore may cause eye inflammation. The regulator said the products do not meet the requirements of Regulation (EC) 1223\/2009, known as the Cosmetics Regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The earlier recall applied only to two batches of the 730ml cleansing water. It has since been expanded to include additional 730ml batches as well as affected 200ml and 400ml bottles, bringing the total number of recalled batches to 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Customers With Recalled Bottles Should Do<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Customers who find one of the listed batch codes should stop using the product <\/a>immediately. Simple has instructed consumers to contact its Consumer Careline for guidance and a refund, while the OPSS notice also directs customers to their place of purchase for information about returns, disposal and redress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No proof of purchase is required. Simple says customers should instead provide a photograph of the product showing the affected batch code where possible. The company can be contacted by email at ukicare@unilever.com. Customers in the UK can also call 0800 146 252, while those in the Republic of Ireland can use 1800 604 060.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Simple, the recall was initiated after testing identified the possible presence of bacteria in some units within the specified batches. The company said the safety of people who buy and use its products is its priority and apologised for the concern or inconvenience caused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
