Tesco has brought back its Clubcard Challenges scheme, giving selected customers the opportunity to collect up to 5,000 additional Clubcard points by completing personalised shopping tasks. The promotion began on 3 August and runs until 13 September, covering purchases made in stores and through Tesco’s online grocery service.

Participation is limited to customers invited through the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app. Those selected can choose shopping challenges linked to particular products, brands or spending targets, with extra points awarded when the required targets are met. A separate Tesco promotion is also giving customers the chance to win one of 40 all-inclusive Mediterranean holidays through qualifying purchases made during the summer.

Clubcard Challenges allows participating shoppers to complete personalised spending goals while collecting points in addition to their usual Clubcard rewards. According to the Daily Express, customers can select up to 10 challenges from a list of 20, with the suggested items or brands based on their previous purchases.

Customers who successfully complete all 10 selected challenges can collect up to 5,000 additional Clubcard points, which are worth £50 when converted into Tesco vouchers. The challenges can be completed through qualifying shopping in Tesco stores or through online orders.

The points can also be used with Tesco Reward Partners. According to reports, the supermarket has more than 100 participating partners, including Cineworld, Hotels.com, Disney+ and the RAC, and Clubcard vouchers can be worth twice their face value when redeemed with participating partners.

Not every Clubcard member is eligible for the scheme. Selected customers receive either a notification or a banner inside the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app inviting them to participate. Shoppers therefore need to check their account to find out whether the current challenge has been made available to them.
