Aldi has announced a further round of price reductions affecting 330 products <\/strong>across its UK stores, bringing the total number of items reduced this year to more than 1,000. According to Aldi, the latest cuts represent an additional \u00a3100 million investment, taking its total investment in lower prices during 2026 to \u00a3300 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement comes as the retailer also confirmed plans to invest more than \u00a3370 million in new stores across the UK. According to the Express, Aldi has identified 25 priority locations for future openings as part of its long-term ambition to reach 1,500 stores nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Price Reductions Target Everyday Grocery Items<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The latest reductions apply across a broad selection of products, including fresh and frozen food, cupboard staples, household essentials and personal care items. According to Aldi, the programme is intended to help households manage grocery spending during the school holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the products receiving lower prices <\/strong>are several British steak lines, with the 21-Day Matured Sirloin Steak now priced at \u00a34.49 and the 21-Day Matured Ribeye Steak at \u00a34.59, representing savings of 80p on selected packs. Fruit and vegetable prices have also been reduced, including a 40p reduction on four-packs of nectarines and 22p off honeydew melons. Other products included in the latest round of cuts are Specially Selected Cheddar cheeses, now priced at \u00a32.99, diced chicken breast at \u00a33.99 and filled pasta at \u00a32.19. Aldi <\/a>has also reduced the price of its Lacura SPF50+ Sensitive Lotion from \u00a33.29 to \u00a32.99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Julie Ashfield<\/a>, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said it remained important that everyday grocery essentials and family favourites stayed affordable. She added that maintaining lower prices on popular products could help families during the summer period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Aldi, the retailer has been named Which? Cheapest Supermarket<\/strong> for five consecutive years and for eight successive months. It also said it recently received Which?’s Best Value Brand of the Year award and has relaunched its Summer Support Scheme, which gives away \u00a350 grocery shops to families each day throughout July and August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the latest pricing announcement, Aldi has outlined plans for further expansion across the UK. According to the Express, the supermarket has identified 25 priority locations <\/strong>where it is seeking opportunities to open new stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The priority list includes Bath, Guildford, Oxford, Woking, Warwick, Hereford, Lincoln, Huddersfield, Harrogate, Newcastle Central, Gateshead Team Valley, Plymouth West, Exeter Central, Walthamstow, Whitby, Monmouth, Canvey Island and several locations across Scotland, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonathan Neale<\/a>, Managing Director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, said the company was focused on identifying communities that would benefit from improved access to affordable food. He said new stores would also create jobs while offering industry-leading pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Express, the latest expansion follows Aldi’s previously announced \u00a340 million investment in London, where eight new stores are scheduled to open during the year.
