Nine UK regions<\/strong> are set to experience heavy rain<\/strong> this weekend as temperatures fall after a prolonged period of sunshine. The Met Office forecasts<\/strong> a band of rain moving across the country from Saturday, with cooler and unsettled conditions expected through Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The first rainfall is expected to arrive on Scotland\u2019s north-west coast during the early hours of Saturday before spreading southwards. The Met Office forecasts<\/a> a change from the warm and sunny conditions seen during the week, with cooler temperatures, periods of rain and stronger winds in some areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n No weather warnings have been issued, but several regions are expected to see significant rainfall during the weekend.
