Millions of Sky Mobile<\/strong> customers can now use their UK data, calls and texts abroad in more destinations after the network expanded its free roaming coverage from 55 to 120 countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free Roaming Extended to More Popular Travel Destinations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The expanded roaming offer includes destinations across Europe, the USA, Australia, Thailand and India<\/strong>. New additions include Egypt, Singapore, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Morocco, Mauritius and China.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The change means eligible customers can use their UK mobile allowances while travelling <\/a>without paying additional roaming charges in supported destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sky VIP Diamond Customers Get Free Access<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The free roaming benefit is available to Sky VIP Diamond customers. This status applies to customers who have been with Sky for more than 15 years<\/strong> across services including TV, Mobile, Talk, Smart Home or Broadband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligible customers can use their UK data, calls and texts abroad in the same way they would at home. There is no separate app, download or activation process required. Roaming starts automatically when customers arrive abroad and begin using their phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Customers Can Use a Paid Roaming Option<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Customers who do not qualify for the free roaming benefit can use Sky\u2019s Roaming Passport Plus service. The option allows users to access their UK allowances abroad for \u00a32 per day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The charge applies after customers use more than 10MB of data<\/strong>, make a call or send a text message to a UK number while abroad. A text message confirms when the 24-hour roaming period begins and alerts customers before it ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sky says five days of roaming in destinations such as the USA, Thailand and India would cost \u00a310, which it claims is cheaper than comparable options from some rival networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customers Can Check Their Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sky customers who are unsure of their loyalty status can check through the My Sky app. The full list of supported destinations and terms of the roaming offer are available through Sky\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expansion comes as mobile providers continue adjusting international roaming options, with holidaymakers increasingly looking for ways to avoid unexpected charges when using their phones abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
