These figures act as reference points for calculating top-up payments when income sits below the stated levels.<\/p>\n

Pension Credit<\/strong><\/a> works by lifting weekly income to the relevant threshold when resources fall short. The system applies to older residents with limited retirement income, many relying mainly on the state pension.
