The initiative has unlocked over \u00a32.5 million in debt support alongside practical household assistance aimed at vulnerable households.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The support comes as many families continue to face pressure from rising living costs and energy expenses. According to EDF, the programs are designed to provide both immediate relief and longer-term financial stability for customers struggling with household energy debt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EDF and Charis Grants have worked together for more than 20 years, supporting over <strong>15,000 vulnerable customers<\/strong> across the UK. Their latest efforts have focused on helping people access assistance earlier, before debt becomes unmanageable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the information released by EDF, the partnership\u2019s <strong>Customer Support <\/strong>Fund has helped customers establish sustainable payment plans intended to make energy repayments more manageable over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Customer Support Fund Provides Debt Relief and Payment Support<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Customer Support Fund has played a central role in the partnership\u2019s recent work. EDF said more than<strong> 1,500 customers<\/strong> have been able to regain control of their energy bills through structured repayment arrangements and targeted financial assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to EDF, more than \u00a32.5 million in debt support has now been unlocked through the scheme. The company stated that the funding gives customers \u201c<em>a clear and achievable pathway<\/em>\u201d toward becoming debt free while also helping them build longer-term financial resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The support extended beyond direct debt assistance during the winter months. Through the <strong>Winter Warmth Choices<\/strong> scheme, EDF and Charis Grants provided additional help intended to reduce pressure on household budgets during colder periods of the year. The winter program included more than \u00a31 million in energy bill credits, according to EDF. It also distributed 5,787 <strong>supermarket vouchers<\/strong> to help cover essential living expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 2,000 household items were also provided through the initiative. It has also helped design and support the rollout of the Warm Home Discount scheme with energy suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organization stated that it has provided around <strong>\u00a311 million<\/strong> in support to vulnerable households so far.
