While air services remain on schedule, road transport setbacks are impacting daily deliveries, which Royal Mail says they aim to complete six days a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Misrouted Mail and Road Delays Disrupt Deliveries<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Royal Mail\u2019s recent announcement points to a series of errors within the mail handling and delivery system, notably including mail that was mistakenly diverted to Scotland instead of Northern Ireland. According to the <strong><em>Mirror<\/em><\/strong>, these routing mistakes, combined with road network problems, have slowed down mail distribution in affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalmail.com\/services-near-you\/delivery-office\/birmingham-central-delivery-office-and-mail-centre-b6-4ab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Birmingham Mail Centre,<\/a> a major processing hub, has been named among those struggling to process and dispatch all mail on time. Royal Mail has pointed to \u201chigh levels of sick absence\u201d as one of the key reasons behind local delivery delays, particularly in smaller or rural offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an effort to manage these disruptions, Royal Mail explained that it is rotating deliveries within the affected offices to \u201cminimise the delay to individual customers,\u201d according to the <em>Express<\/em>.
