UK residents can enjoy 25 hours of free electricity <\/strong>in November, but the clock is ticking. Households have just two days left to sign up for the exclusive offer through the Uswitch app<\/strong>. The initiative, which promises to ease energy costs amid rising prices, is open to all households, regardless of their energy provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free Power Hours to Tackle Winter Bills<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As the UK faces rising energy costs, Uswitch has launched an initiative that could help households save on their electricity bills. The offer provides 25 hours of free electricity <\/a>over five weekends in November<\/strong>. To qualify, users must download the Uswitch app and connect their smart meters before 31 October<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The timing of this offer is particularly important. With the energy price cap set to increase this winter, many are looking for ways to cut costs without sacrificing comfort. The free electricity is available to everyone, whether they are with major providers like British Gas, OVO, Octopus, E.on, <\/strong>or EDF<\/strong>. This makes the offer highly accessible, regardless of which energy supplier customers use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How the Free Electricity Offer Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The free electricity is split into five separate 5-hour time slots<\/strong>, which will be available over weekends in November. Participants can choose from four available time slots: Saturday morning (7am-12pm), Saturday afternoon (12pm-5pm), Sunday morning (7am-12pm), or Sunday afternoon (12pm-5pm). This gives households the flexibility to align their energy-intensive tasks, such as laundry or vacuuming, with the free electricity windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To take part, users must first download the Uswitch app<\/a><\/strong>, which is free to install, and connect their smart meter. According to Uswitch, the process of connecting the smart meter is quick, taking less than two minutes. Once registered, participants will receive notifications each week in November, prompting them to select their preferred time slot for the following weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After each free electricity session, Uswitch will calculate how much energy was consumed during the 5-hour period. The equivalent amount of money is credited to an \u201cEarn<\/strong>\u201d section within the app. At the end of the five-week period, participants can transfer the total credit to their bank accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
