Digital Access: A Game Changer for GP Appointments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From today, every GP practice in England will be required to maintain their digital consultation platforms from 8am<\/strong> to 6.30pm<\/strong> on weekdays. This move is designed to provide patients <\/a>with more flexibility in how they access care, allowing them to book appointments<\/strong>, ask questions<\/strong>, or report symptoms <\/strong>online without the need for a phone call or in-person visit. According to the Department for Health and Social Care, this digital shift is intended to free up phone lines, making them available for those with more urgent needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government argues that this step will help eliminate the rush<\/strong> that often occurs at 8am when many people attempt to book limited appointment slots.
