Southern and eastern areas are expected to see the most intense heat, with central England also likely to feel the impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tropical Air Mass Drives Sharp Temperature Rise<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Meteorologists say the change is linked to the remnants of <strong>Tropical Storm Dexter<\/strong>, which are funnelling warm air northwards across the country. \u201cFrom Sunday, temperatures will begin to rise across southern parts of the UK,\u201d the Met Office stated, noting that the hot air will push readings above 30\u00b0C in some areas by Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/uk.linkedin.com\/in\/steven-keates-933597131\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Steven Keates<\/strong><\/a>, Deputy Chief Meteorologist, said: \u201cWe\u2019re confident that temperatures will increase markedly by the start of next week, reaching the low 30s Celsius in parts of England on Monday and perhaps the mid 30s in a few places on Tuesday.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WX Charts <a href=\"https:\/\/en.econostrum.info\/uk\/west-lancashire-weather-forecast-for-weekend\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"111288\">weather <\/a>maps indicate that southern England, including <strong>London<\/strong>, will see highs approaching 29\u00b0C by midweek, with the heat extending as far north as <strong>Birmingham<\/strong>. Keates explained that \u201cEx-Dexter sets the wheels in motion for an uptick in temperatures, but the weather patterns then maintaining any hot weather are rather more uncertain.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Met Office<\/strong> long-range forecast for 12 to 21 August suggests that the southeast will likely experience a \u201cspell of hot weather\u201d early in the period, with the potential for it to continue into the week. There is also the possibility of <strong>thunderstorms<\/strong> developing in southern areas as the hot air interacts with more humid conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forecasters are urging people to prepare for the potential impacts of the heat, particularly in urban centres where night-time temperatures may remain elevated.
