Meanwhile, residents in Kent <\/strong>and Sussex <\/strong>will face similar restrictions starting on 18 July, as the water crisis spreads across the southeast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As one of the largest water suppliers in the UK, Yorkshire Water\u2019s decision to implement a hosepipe ban marks a significant step towards tackling the region\u2019s water scarcity. According to a statement from the company<\/a>, the ban affects all properties that receive water directly from them, but not those who use other suppliers <\/strong>for clean water.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This decision was made after a prolonged period of dry weather, with the region experiencing its driest spring in over 130 years. From February to June, Yorkshire received less than half the usual amount of rainfall<\/strong>, which has severely affected water reserves.
