The opportunity, which allows individuals to fill gaps in their National Insurance (NI) record, will end on 5 April 2025, prompting warnings from HMRC and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Since April 2023, more than 37,000 people have topped up their contributions, covering over 68,000 years of missing NI payments.
