Known as the Severe Mental Impairment (SMI)<\/strong> discount, this scheme offers eligible individuals a 100% reduction<\/strong> in Council Tax if they live alone, or a 25% discount<\/strong> if they live with another adult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite its potential to provide significant financial relief, many eligible households remain unaware of the SMI scheme.
