The findings, published in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.centreforcities.org\/publication\/cities-outlook-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cities Outlook <\/a>2025<\/strong> report, underscore Scotland&#8217;s role in offering competitive wages, alongside a limited number of cities outside London and its neighbouring regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Workers in Edinburgh earn an average weekly wage of <strong>\u00a3785.50<\/strong>, amounting to an annual figure of<strong> \u00a340,846<\/strong>, while their counterparts in Aberdeen receive <strong>\u00a3765.80 <\/strong>weekly, translating to an annual sum of <strong>\u00a339,822<\/strong>. This positions these cities seventh and tenth respectively in the UK\u2019s salary rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the average salary in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.econostrum.info\/uk\/empty-homes-crisis-in-scotland\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"100717\">Scotland <\/a>is still far less than that of London, where weekly wages average <strong>\u00a3950.20<\/strong> and yearly salaries can exceed <strong>\u00a349,455<\/strong>.
