Parents in Shropshire can ease holiday food costs thanks to offers at major restaurant chains and local cafés. From Burger King to Wildwood, families can benefit from free or discounted kids’ meals this Easter break.

As the cost of living continues to affect families across the UK, several businesses in Shropshire are stepping up to support parents during the school holidays. Numerous restaurants, cafés and pubs are offering children’s meals at reduced prices or for free, provided certain conditions are met.

The initiative arrives at a time when many parents are facing the dual pressure of keeping children entertained and managing household budgets. Food-related offers from both national chains and local establishments could offer welcome relief.

Widespread Discounts at National Chains and Supermarkets

A number of well-known chains are offering deals for children throughout the Easter break. According to Money Saving Central, restaurants such as Burger King, Pizza Express, Zizzi, Côte Brasserie, and Prezzo are providing either free or £1 children’s meals with the purchase of an adult main.

For example, Burger King is running a deal from 7 to 20 April allowing one free kids’ meal per adult meal ordered through the app. Similarly, Prezzo is offering a free three-course children’s meal until 27 April with every adult dish.

Supermarkets have also joined the scheme. Asda Café continues to run its £1 meal initiative for children without requiring an adult purchase, a policy now active year-round.

Meanwhile, Morrisons Café offers one free kids’ meal with any adult meal costing £5 or more. These deals aim to provide accessible options for families who might be struggling during the holiday period.

The list of participating chains also includes Bella Italia, where children can dine for £1 between Sunday and Wednesday evenings, and all day on Thursdays. Côte Brasserie in Shrewsbury is offering two complimentary courses for children under 12 when adults spend £20, valid from 4 to 21 April.

Independent Cafés and Pubs Across Shropshire Join In

In addition to nationwide offers, several local businesses across Shropshire are participating. The Gingerbread Man, a Greene King pub in Market Drayton, is offering two free children’s meals with every adult meal ordered from the main menu or carvery during the school break.

In Whitchurch, The Sheep Shed café and farm shop is providing half-price kids’ meals for under-10s when adults spend £9.95 or more, from 7 to 25 April. Local availability is also evident in places like Wildwood, where children can eat for £1 with an adult main between 4 and 20 April.

These offers provide not just cost savings but also encourage families to support local hospitality venues, many of which are still recovering from reduced footfall in previous years.
