Lidl is expanding its seasonal offering with a new collection of Easter desserts marketed as “indulgent” and “sweeter than ever”, according to the retailer. With prices starting from just £1.49, the limited-edition Deluxe range is scheduled to arrive in stores across the UK from April 14.
The lineup includes both modern reinterpretations of classic puddings and creative new formats, such as the Hot Cross Bun Cheesecake and Egg ‘n’ Spoon desserts. The launch comes alongside Lidl’s seasonal dinner deal, which offers a full Easter roast for £1.70 per person.
Broad Selection of Festive Desserts Unveiled
Lidl‘s latest offering includes a variety of desserts tailored for Easter celebrations, combining traditional British flavours with modern presentation.
According to GB News, highlights of the range include the Deluxe Hot Cross Bun Cheesecake (£3.99), described as featuring spiced fruit layered over a buttery biscuit base, and the Deluxe Hot Cross Bun Pudding (£4.99), designed for customers who prefer a more traditional baked dessert.
Another standout item is the Deluxe Egg ‘n’ Spoon (£2.99), a white chocolate and passionfruit mousse served in a chocolate egg, each accompanied by a chocolate spoon. Shareable options are also featured in the line-up, such as the Deluxe Cinnamon Tear and Share Balls (£3.99), topped with cinnamon butter and vanilla icing.
The range is rounded out by several chilled desserts, including Mini Ice Cream Desserts in flavours such as Banana & Caramel and Macadamia & Vanilla (£1.49), and Layered Ice Desserts like Raspberry, Lemon & Cookie Crumble (£2.99).
Additionally, the Deluxe Italian Easter Dove Chantilly & Chocolate Cake (£6.99) appears to be Lidl’s premium centrepiece dessert.
Part of a Wider Easter Value Strategy
This launch aligns with Lidl’s broader strategy to position itself as a destination for value-driven seasonal shopping. In tandem with the dessert range, Lidl is introducing a budget Easter dinner offer, which includes a whole leg of lamb with accompaniments, calculated at £1.70 per person.
The dessert range complements the retailer’s overall Easter campaign, which focuses on affordability without compromising on festive appeal. Other offerings in the dessert section include the Deluxe Tiramisu in Glass (£1.99), Crème Brûlée (£2.49), and a selection of Family-Size Desserts (£2.99), covering favourites such as Black Forest and Tarte Tatin.
The collection will be available “while stocks last”, reinforcing the seasonal and limited nature of the range.
