Lidl to Offer £5 Million in Rewards Via Lidl Plus App: Here’s How to Claim Your Share!

The British discount supermarket is rolling out one of its biggest-ever giveaways, offering Lidl Plus members the chance to crack open a virtual egg every day for ten days and win a share of a prize pot that dwarfs most seasonal retail promotions.

With Easter weekend representing one of the heaviest grocery-shopping periods of the calendar year, Lidl has chosen this moment to launch a loyalty reward scheme that is, by the supermarket’s own reckoning, among the largest it has ever run. The timing is deliberate. Food prices remain a persistent pressure on household budgets across Britain, and the promotion offers Lidl Plus customers a genuinely low-friction route to meaningful savings.

The campaign also signals how seriously Britain’s major discount retailers are investing in their digital loyalty infrastructure. Rather than relying on shelf-edge promotions or traditional coupon inserts, Lidl is routing the entire giveaway through its Plus app , a move that deepens customer engagement while delivering tangible value to the shoppers most likely to return week after week.

Ten Days, 100,000 Vouchers, and a Virtual Egg to Crack

According to Lidl, the promotion runs from Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, April 4, giving Plus members ten consecutive days to participate. Each day, 10,000 vouchers worth £50 apiece are made available, bringing the total number of headline prizes to 100,000 across the full window, and the combined value of those vouchers alone to £5 million.

The mechanic could hardly be simpler. Customers open the Lidl Plus app, tap the virtual Easter egg, and reveal that day’s deal. The £50 vouchers are the headline prize, but they are far from the only reward on offer. Daily reveals can also surface £5 stretch-spend coupons, free product coupons, and discounts on Easter favorites, meaning even shoppers who don’t land the top prize are likely to walk away with something usable.

How to Claim, and What Iceland Is Doing Too

A few conditions apply to Lidl’s promotion. Coupons won must be activated before use, and each day’s deal is valid only for a limited time, which encourages customers to check back daily rather than stockpiling claims. Crucially, no purchase is required to participate, and Lidl Plus membership is free, making the giveaway accessible to any shopper willing to download the app.

Lidl is not alone in targeting cost-conscious families this Easter. Iceland and its sister chain The Food Warehouse have announced a separate scheme aimed at households receiving free school meal vouchers, offering eligible Bonus Club customers a free £5 top-up when they spend a minimum of £15 on School Meal Gift Cards in-store between March 24 and April 13, across more than 950 stores.

For Lidl, though, the scale of this promotion sets it apart from anything else on the market this spring. With £5 million in vouchers up for grabs, a frictionless entry mechanic, and ten days of daily prizes, the retailer has positioned itself as the clear frontrunner in the battle for Easter grocery loyalty, and given hard-pressed shoppers a compelling reason to keep coming back to the app long after the last egg has been cracked.
