According to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), the products may be unsafe to consume because veterinary medicines, including antibiotics, have been found in the milk.
The FSA said the presence of these medicines could present “a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to antibiotics including penicillin“. The agency has advised anyone who has purchased the affected milk not to consume it and instead return it to the store where it was bought to receive a full refund.
Recall Affects Products Sold Through Major Supermarket Chains
The recalled milk was available in England through several leading supermarket chains, including Tesco, Asda and Morrisons. According to the FSA, point-of-sale notices will be displayed in retail stores selling the product and, where applicable, on retailers’ websites to explain the reason for the recall and provide guidance for customers.
The recall covers only Graham’s Family Dairy Semi-Skimmed Milk in the three specified pack sizes with a best-before date of 31 July 2026. No other pack sizes or dates are included in the notice.
