As the festive season draws near, Tesco is gearing up to help customers streamline their holiday shopping. The supermarket giant has revealed its Christmas delivery slots for 2025, but shoppers are being urged to act fast in order to secure their preferred time slots. Tesco’s updated delivery system promises convenience, with early access for Delivery Saver plan members and thousands of extra slots leading up to Christmas.
Tesco’s delivery slots are a crucial part of the festive shopping experience for many, and securing a slot in time can often feel like a race against the clock. With millions of households ordering Christmas food and gifts online, Tesco is attempting to make the process smoother by offering more options than ever before.
According to Tesco’s Online Customer Director Jillian Lidgate, the supermarket is making it easier for families to get everything they need delivered to their door without stress.
Early Access for Delivery Saver Subscribers
For those looking to get ahead of the festive rush, signing up for Tesco’s Delivery Saver plan is now a ticket to priority access for Christmas delivery slots. Customers who are already signed up to an Anytime Delivery Saver or Click+Collect plan can access the slots as early as 6 am on November 4.
This is a full week ahead of the general public, who will gain access on November 11. Tesco’s Delivery Saver plans offer flexibility with both six-month and twelve-month subscriptions, starting from just £2.49 a month. According to Tesco, these plans not only help customers save on delivery fees but also reduce the hassle of booking time slots at peak times.
These plans also offer year-round benefits, including free home delivery and Click+Collect services, allowing customers to avoid additional charges for booking delivery slots. While the service does come with a minimum basket charge, it is designed to cater to regular online shoppers, providing them with a convenient, cost-effective solution for all their grocery needs.
A Strong Response to Growing Demand
With the rise of online shopping, particularly during peak periods like Christmas, Tesco has responded to an increased demand for delivery slots. According to recent reports, the number of people choosing online grocery shopping has grown significantly, and the festive period is expected to bring even more pressure.
Tesco is addressing this by offering thousands of extra delivery slots in the two weeks leading up to Christmas Day. This will provide customers with more flexibility and reduce the stress that often comes with securing the perfect time slot.
“The festive period is a busy time for many as we celebrate those all-important moments with family and friends, from the Christmas dinner trimmings to those special festive party favourites, we’re making it easier than ever before for customers to get everything they need delivered to their door. As we help families plan ahead for their Christmas shop, we are excited to be offering thousands of extra slots available in the fortnight leading up to Christmas Day.” said Lidgate.
The expansion of delivery slots aligns with Tesco’s commitment to making online shopping easier and more accessible, giving customers the ability to shop for their Christmas dinners, party favourites, and festive treats without leaving their homes.
