The UK may soon be hit by a hot weather moving across Europe. Meteorologists are eyeing for an influx of a possible 37 °C from France, increasing the stakes in some areas. However, this scalding surge might not be as severe as it appears — at least not everywhere.

A Cooler Outlook for the Potteries
Although parts of the UK are getting ready for a scorching summer, the Potteries' region is unlikely to join the heatwave trend. In fact, predictions have suggested that the area could even witness some thundery weather instead.
The BBC recently stated that temperatures in the Potteries will probably stay around a more modest 20 degrees C over the next week, which will provide a cooler and more comfortable climate compared with other parts of Britain.
Warm Weather in the South, Cooler Across Scotland and Northern Ireland
Approaching weekend weather forecasts indicate that there might be warmer days, particularly in southeast England, Midlands and certain northern regions.
By August 11th hot air from Northern France is likely to blow over towards England, raising temperatures to about 37 degrees Celsius according to WXcharts.
This short summer burst may last two days or maybe even go into a third day, thereby offering respite after many chilly days back-to-back ones.
Despite being in the heat, the south, Scotland and Northern Ireland are not expected to get the same treatment. In this case, temperatures here will be at about 15 °C.
This means that although other areas of the UK have been swept by warm air; these regions will still maintain a brisk autumn feel.
Mixed Weather Ahead
Weather is not predicted to change anytime soon as August progresses. According to Met Office, dry weather is forecasted for August 13 while today’s maximum temperature is 21 °C. However, according to BBC it might rain slightly on Saturday with showers on Sunday.
More wet weather could come at the start of next week, with Tuesday likely to be damp, and Wednesday evening might see thunderstorms develop. The BBC also predicts a combination of wet days and high teens until August 19 further contributing to this unsettled pattern.
