Could you possibly be lying on top of a hidden fortune? Possibly, as a number of major UK National Lottery prizes have yet to be claimed.

Even with just six months to claim their winnings, there are still some lucky ticket holders who haven't come forward yet.

Or perhaps they are unaware of their good fortune, with winning tickets forgotten in wallets, handbags or online accounts. So, could you be one of them? Below are the prizes currently unclaimed.

Current Unclaimed National Lottery Prizes

  • Euromillions - £1m: A UK Millionaire Maker winner, drawn on 23 February 2024, is yet to claim their prize. The ticket was bought in the London Borough of Camden and must be claimed by 21 August.
  • Euromillions - £1m: Another UK Millionaire Maker winner from the draw on 16 April has yet to come forward. This ticket was purchased in Rhondda Cynon Taff and needs to be claimed by 13 October.
  • Euromillions - £1m: A third UK Millionaire Maker prize from the draw on 26 April remains unclaimed. The ticket was bought in Surrey Heath and must be claimed by 23 October.
  • Set for Life - £10,000 every month for a year: This prize was won on 25 January with the numbers 7, 20, 23, 36, and 44 matching five. The ticket was bought in Worthing District, and the deadline to claim is 23 July.
  • Thunderball - £500,000: A Redditch ticket holder from the 8 December draw could claim half a million pounds. Their winning numbers were 2, 15, 31, 35, 37, and the Thunderball 6, and they must claim by 5 June.

How Long Do Winners of the National Lottery Have to Claim Their Prizes?

Winners have 180 days (approximately six months) from the date of the draw to claim their prize. Should there be no valid claim within this period, the money, together with any interest accrued, will be donated to National Lottery projects in the UK.

How Can You Claim Your Lottery wins?

Winners of up to £500 can be claimed in-store from a National Lottery retailer. For prizes over £500 and up to £50,000 they can be claimed online.

In the case of prizes over £50,000 and monthly winnings (Set For Life), winners should call the National Lottery on 0333 234 50 50 to confirm and arrange their claim.

If your ticket has been damaged or destroyed, you can still make a claim. However, an appeal must be lodged within 30 days of the draw date.
