UK households will soon receive four Cost of Living payments as part of a major Cost of Living boost dedicated to the most impoverished families amid the critical financial period that the country is going through.

UK Families to Receive Four Cost of Living Payments

Many British households are expecting some financial relief coming in the form of four Cost of Living payments to be handed to poverty-stricken families across the nation.

The government confirmed the news earlier this year, as households received a key boost.

The new payments will be distributed on specific dates in order to help people with their daily spendings, after the government renewed its scheme.

The Cost of Living payment will be handed to the families in need in June and July in a welcome addition to most UK households' finances.

The forthcoming financial assistance will be distributed by local councils through the Household Support Fund, a program that was expanded during Chancellor Jeremy Hunt's Spring Budget and subsequently confirmed on March 6th.

Household Support Fund Expands: Vouchers and Payments Issued Across UK

Since the expansion of the Household Support Fund, Wakefield Council confirms that it will be issuing £75 supermarket vouchers to Council Tax Support recipients, along with £75 voucher to pensioners between June 3 and June 13, as well as a disability payment between June 17 and June 26, accompanied by all other households at the exception of families with one child that will get the boost on June 28.

To finish, households with at least one child will receive the Cost of Living boost on June 18. The local authority declares: “The Government has provided additional funding, known as the Household Support Fund, to help with important things like gas, electricity, and food during April 2024 to September 2024.

“This funding will be used in the ways described on this page.” It adds: “The Fund will also provide support to vulnerable households in most need of support to help with significantly rising living costs; particularly those who may not have received any other forms of Cost-of- Living support.”
