How to Access SNAP Benefits
Once the payments are sent, funds will be loaded onto Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards, which can be used at authorized grocery stores, supermarkets, and select online retailers to purchase approved food items.
Unlike Social Security payments, which are distributed based on a federal schedule, SNAP benefits follow individual state guidelines, which explains the variation in distribution dates across the country.
If an eligible recipient does not receive their payment on the expected date, they should contact their state’s SNAP office or the USDA to verify their benefit status.
