In-N-Out is continuing its steady expansion beyond its California base, announcing new restaurant openings in five different states. The move highlights the company’s ongoing strategy to grow its presence while maintaining its longstanding operational model.
The new locations stretch from the Pacific Northwest to the Southeast, reflecting a broader geographic push that includes both established and first-time markets. According to reports, the expansion will bring additional restaurants to states where the brand is already present, while also marking a debut in at least one new city.
New Locations Signal Broader Geographic Reach
The latest expansion includes five specific sites: Buckeye, Arizona; Las Vegas, Nevada; Madison, Tennessee; St. George, Utah; and Vancouver, Washington. These additions illustrate how the company is extending its reach across multiple regions at once, rather than concentrating on a single area.
Arizona’s Buckeye location will represent a first for that particular community, while Las Vegas is set to receive one of the largest restaurants in the chain’s history, with a three-story building planned for the Strip. According to KTLA, this Las Vegas site is expected to stand out not only for its size but also for its prominent location on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Tennessee, which only recently entered the In-N-Out network, continues to see rapid development. The Madison location will be the state’s fifth, arriving just months after its first store opened in December 2025. This pace suggests a focused effort to establish a stronger foothold in the Southeast.
Utah and Washington are also part of the expansion, with new restaurants planned in St. George and Vancouver, respectively. These additions indicate continued growth in the western United States, even as the company explores newer eastern territories.
Expansion Strategy Remains Tied to Company Standards
Despite the broader geographic push, In-N-Out appears to be maintaining its traditional approach to growth. The company has emphasized consistency in its expansion model, even as it enters new regions. According to Newsweek, CEO Linsi Snyder stated that the company has been expanding into new states since 1992 while remaining committed to its established standards.
A key part of this strategy involves infrastructure and workforce development. The company previously announced the creation of an Eastern Territory office in Tennessee, designed to support its growing operations in that region. This move aligns with the recent cluster of openings in and around the Nashville area.
Employment also plays a role in the expansion. A press release cited by Newsweek noted that each new restaurant is expected to employ around 75 workers, with starting wages set at $17.50 per hour. Additional hiring is anticipated as operations scale up.
Even with more than 400 locations nationwide, the company’s presence remains heavily concentrated in California, where over 65 percent of its restaurants are still located. At the same time, customer satisfaction continues to be a defining feature of the brand. According to PR Newswire, a 2022 study by Market Force Information found that In-N-Out achieved an 80 percent satisfaction score among more than 5,000 consumers, placing it well ahead of several major competitors.
