The current watch zone includes areas from Sandy Cape (Queensland) to Grafton (New South Wales), with authorities closely monitoring its trajectory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The region at risk accounts for <strong>around 2% of Australia<\/strong>\u2019s total agricultural output by value, with a strong concentration in horticultural products and poultry farming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agriculture.gov.au\/abares\/about\/leadership-team\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.agriculture.gov.au\/abares\/about\/leadership-team\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jared Greenville<\/a>, executive director of the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES), highlighted the significance of the storm\u2019s impact on local farming operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The weather events and the cyclone at the moment are a big focus for agricultural producers in that region,\u201d Greenville told Sky News Australia\u2019s Ross Greenwood.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>We produce around two per cent of Australia&#8217;s agriculture in terms of value out of that region and a lot of horticultural products and also some poultry.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Disruptions to Supply Chains and Livestock Concerns<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With the cyclone approaching, several challenges are emerging for the region\u2019s farmers.
