Australian budget airline Jetstar has launched one of its largest-ever fare promotions to celebrate its 21st anniversary, making air travel more accessible with over 225,000 discounted tickets available across both domestic and international routes.
Travelers can secure fares starting at $33 through Club Jetstar, or $38 for non-members.
According to Sky News, the airline’s latest campaign is designed to give more Australians the chance to explore new destinations at affordable prices.
The sale is being promoted as a milestone event in Jetstar’s operational history, reinforcing the carrier’s ongoing commitment to providing low-cost travel options.
More Than 225,000 Discounted Fares Released
The airline confirmed that the birthday promotion is set to run until Tuesday, May 13, or until all discounted seats are sold. Jetstar Group CEO Stephanie Tully emphasized the scale and intent of the campaign :
Over the past 21 years, we have democratised air travel and enabled Australians to take off more with our low fares – he said.
This sale will be one of our biggest sales in 2025, and we are proud to be offering Aussies the chance to book their next holiday with fares from as low as $38.
Around one in three Jetstar customers travel for less than $100 and we’re committed to keeping fares low so our customers can spend more on their holiday.
Domestic Routes From $33 Through Club Jetstar
For domestic travelers, several routes are now available at reduced fares. A key highlight includes Byron Bay to Sydney from $33 for Club Jetstar members, and $38 for non-members.

- Darwin → Sydney: $156
- Gold Coast → Cairns: $76
- Brisbane → Launceston: $84
The travel window for these domestic routes spans from late May to mid-December 2025, with exact dates varying by destination.
International Fares From $140 to Major Cities
Jetstar also included competitive international routes in its anniversary sale. These include :
- Perth → Singapore : $140
- Cairns → Christchurch: $199
- Sydney → Honolulu: $290
- Brisbane → Tokyo (Narita): $299
Travel on these routes is available from early July 2025 to late March 2026, subject to availability and route-specific conditions.
Return for Free Promotion Adds Further Savings
In parallel with the birthday sale, Jetstar recently launched its Return For Free promotion. This offer allows customers booking a selected outbound starter fare to receive the return leg at no additional cost.
