In France as in Europe, recovery requires training and mobility.

The European Union has set three major objectives for 2030: more employment, better training, less poverty and social exclusion. To reach these goals, it is putting in place significant financial resources.

It is therefore at the European level that the battle is being waged and that Pôle emploi is positioning itself by offering its expertise, advice, experiments, studies and new solutions. To take into account the diversity of needs of job seekers, Pôle emploi actively participates in many initiatives such as the FAJE (Training and Accompaniment of Young Graduates in Europe) supported by the Southern Region, Erasmus+, or through exchanges with Italy via the MedMobility (Mobility Across the Mediterranean Sea) and MA.R.E (MArché transfrontalier du travail et Réseau des services pour l'Emploi) projects. The public institution thus enables job seekers to boost their professional skills through in-company experience acquired in Europe or abroad.

Pôle emploi also has a team of advisors specialized in assisting people who wish to expatriate permanently, or on the contrary who return to France, after a period abroad.

The example of MA.R.E

Alongside the employment actors of Corsica, Tuscany, Sardinia, and Liguria, Pôle emploi Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur is therefore a partner of MA.R.E since 2019. This strategic project contributes to strengthening the Franco-Italian labor market in the Mediterranean area.

Through MA.R.E, Pôle emploi Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur is experimenting with services designed to strengthen the match between supply and demand for jobs in the green and blue economy. Pôle emploi has developed new tools for identifying skills and has experimented with training in priority cross-border sectors. A Franco-Italian Mediterranean network of social and professional support actors is being built. It works to remove obstacles to employment as diverse as mobility, childcare, access to healthcare, financial insecurity, the digital divide...

In this context, by mobilizing Erasmus+ funds, Pôle emploi offers job seekers the opportunity to acquire new skills abroad.  With the "cross-border employment passport", Pôle emploi has built an innovative pilot action designed to enable mobility for people who are furthest from employment. For the long-term unemployed, the public institution has set up a service to take into account the impact of health conditions on their professional project.

More than 80 people gathered in La Spezia, for the final event of the strategic project M.A.R.E. organized by the Liguria Region in collaboration with the City Council of La Spezia, FILSE and Liguria Richerche. "MA.R.E. does not stop at 2020", a wish shared and expressed several times by the participating partners gathered in La Spezia, so that the significant results obtained by MA.R.E. in the whole program area can be capitalized in the next programming period.

Strongly committed to MA.R.E., Pôle emploi offers to provide its expertise on any other project of this type.
