FRANCE. The French independent producer of renewable energy Photosol obtained a bank financing of 108.5 M€ from the Banque Postale and the Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC (Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur). This sum will accompany the construction of nine ground and parking shade photovoltaic power plants with a total capacity of 112 MWp and with power ranging from 2.3 MWp to 24 MWp. They will be located in the French departments of Haut-Rhin, Drôme, Loir-et-Cher, Allier and Alpes-Maritimes, where these projects won the CRE4 calls for tenders from the Energy Regulation Commission.
Photosol will ensure the follow-up of their construction, their operation, their maintenance and their operational management.
Producing annually 155 GWh of green electricity (the consumption of a town of 60,000 inhabitants excluding heating), these plants will sell their energy over the next twenty years at an average global price of 63€ per MWh.
"They will gradually come into operation between 2020 and 2021", states in a press release the law firm De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés, the source of the information and which advised the lenders.
Created in 2008 and based in Paris, Photosol had, at the end of 2019, 364 Mwc of capacity in operation and under construction and had 1 GWc of development projects in France.
