Businessmed brings Italian Barbara Beltrame Giacomello to its presidency

MEDITERRANEAN. The Extraordinary General Assembly of the Mediterranean Union of Business Confederations, Businessmed, confirmed, on Tuesday 20 October 2020, the appointment of Barbara Beltrame Giacomello as its president.

Barbara Beltrame Giacomello, who has been the international vice-president of Confindustria, the Italian employers' association, since May 2020, succeeds the Algerian Saïda Neghza (president of the General Confederation of Algerian Businesses) for a three-year term.

Barbara Beltrame Giacomello has been a member of the General Council of Confindustria since May 2019 and has also been Vice-President of Confidustria Vicenza (Vicenza) since January 2016. She has been Director of Communications and Marketing of the family group AFV Beltrame, based in Vincence, since April 2005.

Founded in 2002, Businessmed brings together twenty-two business confederations from the member countries of the Union for the Mediterranean. The association presents itself as the "main regional representative of the private sector" whose development it supports in the Mediterranean basin.
